I Started Meditating With Balance App (Free Subscription)
I’ve tried meditating a few times over the past, I don’t know, maybe 25 years. But I’ve only meditated like less than 30 times total. Maybe even less than 20 times. Right around in there. So I’m still definitely a beginner.
One thing that made it difficult was that I’m not into tying meditation to religious practices or spirituality per se, like most folks tend to do. I just want to relax and enjoy the health benefits of meditation and maybe calm my ass down a little bit so I can function like a normal person.
Since so many meditation practitioners (and apps) out there push pretty hard on the spirituality/new age/religious angle, it’s been kind of frustrating for me. And I mostly just ended up skipping it.
Trying Out Balance Meditation App
But yesterday I downloaded a meditation app for iPhone called Balance (by Elevate Labs). It’s a meditation and sleep aid app. And I’m really impressed with it. Granted, I’m only on Day 2, but I’m really enjoying it so far.
Now, this isn’t a full-on review of the Balance meditation app.
Too soon for that.
Plus, I wish I had taken screenshots of the first several screens as I was setting up my profile because it customizes your meditation sessions based on your experience level and your goals, such as:
- stress relief
- improved mood
- better sleep
- increased focus
The app also responds to feedback that you provide after your meditation sessions.
Free 1-Year Subscription (Limited Time Only)
But the main reason I wanted to post something about this app is that you can get your first year subscription for free. And I don’t know how long that offer is available.
And no, this is not an affiliate offer.
I don’t think they even have an affiliate program (not that affiliate offers are bad).
I’m just passing this on to whoever’s interested.
I’ve tried a few different meditation apps over the past couple years, including Calm and Insight Timer. Most meditation apps only offer a handful of sessions in their free trial or only let you test it out for a week or two for free.
But you can get full access to the Balance app for a full year for free (normally $69.99/year) – at least for right now.
After using this app a couple times already, I just think that this is a deal that’s too good to pass up. I am really impressed with this app so far.
What is your experience with meditation?
Ever tried it?
Curious if it can help you in some way?
If any of you have been thinking about trying meditation and want a super easy way to learn meditation for beginners, I highly recommend downloading the Balance app and trying it out.
