Goals for August 2021

Goals for August 2021

Okay, folks. Here we go, again.

It’s about half past midnight.

I’m pretty jacked up on Mountain Dew Code Red and Doritos right now, and I might not be thinking straight. But I don’t care because I AM FEELIN THIS.

For 5+ months my blogging motivation has been in the toilet, but not tonight. Tonight I’m feeling it.

You might remember last year (or maybe the year before) I wrote a blog post that talked about how some of my best decisions and progress in life happens when I just move into action without taking too much time to think about it.

Some of us have a bad habit of overthinking things, myself included. But sometimes, when you’re feeling motivated to do something new or just take another whack at something, you just gotta go for it and not worry about failing or not following through and feeling stupid.

That’s where I’m at tonight.

I don’t want to think about this too much, because I’ll probably just “think” myself right out of doing it and keep on being stuck like I have been since February.

Goals for August 2021

It’s weird.

On the one hand, I am constantly thinking about goals and things I want to change in my life. So writing this next section should be a breeze.

Yet, on the other hand, I really haven’t thought through what I’m about to write here. As I’m writing this sentence, I literally don’t even know what my goals are for next month. I just feel like it’s time to pick some targets, write them down in a blog post, hit publish and then figure out how to make it all happen.

So I’m not going to analyze and plan this to death. Just gonna jot down some goals and get busy.

Hold on to your butts…

  1. I am super excited what is going to happen. I think that you are going to have fun this month. As for me, I am going to work on more ghostwriting jobs and try not to overthink things as much. I have to start slow on that last part. Good luck and I can’t wait to see what happens. Neosoulwriter 🙂

  2. Hey Neo, thanks. I think taking it slow is a good approach for many writers. That’s what I’ve been doing for the past several months, and I think it’s been helping me gradually pull out of this funk. Good luck! Just take it one day at a time – one article at a time. It all adds up.

  3. You got this. Just take it one day at a time, man.

As for me, definitely aiming to beat my written-word record and possibly setting some video goals. I need to start getting more content out there on YouTube…lol.

    Let’s. Do. This.

  4. I have no doubt you’ll hit your wordcount goal, especially after this past month. As for video goals…hmm…now that sounds like a good direction. I’ve been thinking about playing with shorts and livestreams on my channels. But I suppose just getting some blog posts published is plenty for me this week. Idk we’ll see.
